Here are the boys watching Daddy and Jay work in the basement yesterday...
I think I’ve said it before, but if the weather could be as it’s been these past few days ALL the time? Wow, it’s been so nice. The boys are up fast asleep (well, it didn’t happen fast today, they were messing around for quite some time) and Erk is getting some things done in the basement. Yep, basement. Tomorrow we’ll be having a cement truck parked out back pouring a new floor down there! That’s something we’ve talked about for a long time and decided we’d go for it. Half of our basement floor is dirt and so we hardly go down there (I’m sure I’ve made references to how spooky it is) and with it “finished” we will have extra storage and that my friend… is a beautiful thing. This house seriously lacks storage space to begin with so just being able to put stuff in the basement rather than up in the garage attic where you need a harness just in case you fall off the plank floor we call the “attic,” will be great.
We’re headed to Erk’s folks tonight to celebrate Mikie’s birthday (he turns the big 3 on Wednesday)! I’ll post some pics later :)
