I’m not sure what just happened, but it wasn’t pretty. Sheesh, a morning of whining, packing and now, dog feces to clean up. Mikie has been in rare form, he has this fear of being left. Not just like “please don’t leave me” but crying and screaming when you simply walk down the stairs without waiting for him. So this morning I was quickly rushed outta bed at the sound of Mikie screaming – I honestly thought his arm was stuck in a meat grinder by the way he yelled. Nope, no arm stuck – Jack was going to head downstairs. WEIRD. Erk handled it more calmly and lovingly than I did, I was ticked and told him he needs to stop doing that. Thru out the morning, he has been wigging out “WHERE ARE YOU MOMMA?!” when I’m in the next room…
Mom and Dad came to drop off their vehicle for me to pack it up for our trip (we’ll be leaving shortly). So I’ve been in and out doing that. I’m really anal about my list of stuff to take, so much so that I had to type in the things that aren’t typed on my list and save it for next time. I just don’t like the feeling I’m forgetting anything! Anyways, I’m here in the office plugging the few jotted things onto my Microsoft Word list when I ask Mikie to let Bean dog in. She’s whining by the door like usual… So I hear Mikie open the storm door and this horrendous yelp comes from Bean. Like I have never heard. It was loud and piercing, like she was being tortured. I go running only to find her licking frantically, the wall and door – it looked like melted chocolate on the woodwork and storm door and the cracks and crevaces of the door. I couldn’t be so lucky – NO CHOCOLATE… dog poop. I have NO IDEA how it got so high on the wall, why she pooped, what the frick happened. So I interrogated Mikie and he claimed he simply let her in and isn’t sure what happened or why she did that. Needless to say, out came the paper towel, Windex, Lysol spray and other cleaning supplies. Oh and the Febreeze to rid the dining room of that smell. What the BEAK?
All that being said - it’s been pretty crazy ‘round here… Fortunately Molly is taking a decent nap now, she was struggling earlier but I had her work it out. Yesterday she wouldn’t nap for quite a while (like 4 hours) which is highly unusual, actually that’s never happened with her. My right arm was pretty dang tired :)
Jack has Grandparents day at preschool this morning so I’m sure he’s loving every minute. Have a nice weekend all – hopefully no poop ends up on your walls!
