I laid in bed for a while this morning, could hear the boys playing in their room, Erk came up to say goodbye as he headed off to work. Mol was sleeping in a bit – that was nice! When I got her up to feed her and she was all finished, the boys came traipsing in the room and wanted to sit on my lap. There I sat looking at the back of all 3 of my kid’s heads. What a gift they are, each of them different, each of them fill my heart so much with love.
It was pretty cool, our conversation turned to talking about Jesus and how having Him in our hearts means we get to spend forever together in Heaven.
Mikie turns around and looks at me…
“I love Jesus Mom. Jesus, I love you,” he says.
A huge smile came over my face.
Jack says, “I love Jesus too.”
Then the questions start popping up.
First Jack, “Do we get to eat in Heaven?”
“Do we wear clothes in Heaven?”
“If we died right now I’d be wearing this and you’d have your black shirt on,” he says. Argh, the thought of that right now, but it shows how his little mind thinks it through.
Mikie then says “I think Jesus has a big big big tractor that he drives in Heaven.”
Thank you Lord for the gift of love, the gift these kids are (even when I’m going bonkers), that we will put our trust in You always and seek You in all things.
