Sitting here at the desk - the computer paper is strewn all over, pens laid all around, if I turn my chair on wheels around I see the little plastic table in the family room covered in markers without lids, pumpkin cutouts from Halloween time tossed all over the floor, coloring books open with pages with one line drawn on them, stranded... In the dining room there is laundry piled up so high that the neatly folded stacks are falling into each other making it hard to tell where Jack's pants end and Mikie's begin. The kitchen floor has a beautiful display of alphabet cards and winter hats, mixed with some cars and trucks and last years costumes that are too small.
Ok, enough about the huge mess I have hovering :) I had my vein doctor appt today and it went, well, as expected. Funny, as I said before, I feel like my body is falling apart at 30! What the beak? I know I made both the ear appt and vein appt because I have issues, but it's crazy to walk away from both knowing I need a surgical procedure to correct both. Ya half expect going in and being told "ahh, it's not that bad, have a nice day," but when you set up to have surgery (although minor in the scheme of things and both outpatient) it hits ya like, well... HUH?! The vein clinic set up the procedure to pretty much "deaden" the vein that is causing problems for April 14th, 3 days prior to my ear procedure. I'm going to call and switch that out. I told her I was going to have another procedure that same week and she figured it wouldn't be that big of a deal to have both. Sure, mix the recovery time, why not? But... do I wanna deal with a sore leg AND dizzy spells? Probably not at that same time.
I guess the vein procedure involves a needle and catheter tube that is inserted up my bad vein, which tears the crap outta the vein from the inside so that it stops working, without having to take it out. Then they will do some small incisions to remove the "superficial" veins that are bulging around the inside of my right knee. Pretty, eh? :) I'm glad it'll be taken care of though, better to do it now.
Anywho, I'm gonna make some supper now - have a good one!
