What is it like to be inside a snowglobe?

A fun evening tonight – I’m still in my snowpants and sweatshirt over my sweater. Cold to the bone I think! It really didn’t feel that cold when I was out “in it,” but it sure feels cold now. The truck said it was -7 degrees!

We had Erk’s work Christmas party tonight at a ski resort type place. Not nearly as much work this year to help get it set up. Just some candles and ornaments on the tables and bam, ya got what ya need. The company Erk works for paid for any ski or snowboarding lessons and lift tickets for anyone who wanted to ski, snowboard or tube. You’d better believe I was tubing, baby! It was fun, a riot. No skiing or snowboarding for me, just tubin’ down that steep hill going at a very high rate of speed. Kristy and I were having so much fun that we went to find Erk and her husband on the ski hill to try tubing with us. They did and actually thought it was cooler than they figured. The first time I was pulled up the hill on my tube by the tow rope, I couldn't believe how peaceful it was. It was such a pretty night, the moon was out, it was cloudy, and the way the lights shot up from the ski hills and all, it showed snow crystals falling from the sky. It was so pretty. I almost felt like I was inside a snowglobe. It was so cool! But after a while, it was back in the warm lodge to thaw out.

I had another one of my “life questions” this morning that I found I didn’t answer today. I wondered, would a freshly shaven leg be colder than a hairy one? Ever wonder that? I swear when I have shaved before, my legs are colder than when I don’t. Well, this morning I shaved one and not the other. Did it make a difference tonight? Nope :) I guess my snowpants do what they should… heck I wanna sleep in these things they are so warm!

So now Bean dog is conked on the couch, Granny and Grampa just left (thank you again!), Molly and Jack are asleep and while saying goodbye to Granny and Grampa, Mikie came downstairs. The kid… he’s still sleepwalking, not every night but pretty often anymore. He says he got up to pee though and heard my voice. I bet he’s asleep by now. Headed up that way too shortly! Sleep well :)
