Hide and Seek

Today, in a nutshell...

Before leaving for church this morning, Mikie is in the kitchen counting. He tells me “Molly is hiding, Jack doesn’t wanna play with me, so Molly and I are playing hide and seek.” He counts to 16 (missing 15 in there) and I watch him run into the family room and yell “found you!” to Molly. He had pushed her exersaucer from where it was in the middle of the room to behind the chair. Funny or WHAT?

Had double duty in the nursery so I drove separate to church from Erk and the kids. I drove the car home alone while Erk followed behind with the kids in the truck. We turn a corner and I watch as Erk does a 180 in my rearview mirror. In our truck, with 4 wheel drive! Freaked me out – so he drives the wrong way down the street to find somewhere to turn back around the right way. Umm, can you say black ice?

After lunch at home, the kids all lay down for a nap. I did too but decided to get up off my lazy butt and do “bills.” Glad I did them then, cause then it became a whirlwind of phone calls and little fires to put out.

Erk made up some soup (started out as the idea of chili, but became really good soup instead) and we had a nice supper. Grandpa stopped by to plow out our driveway (thanks)! Had some crescent rolls with honey and soup... hungry?

We thought we’d have a popcorn/movie night, but the boys ended up playing upstairs all the while they were supposed to be cleaning their room, so no movie tonight. Maybe tomorrow night :)

Now I’m pooped and gonna head up. Good night all! Here’s to hoping for no coughing/scared kids in the night tonight!
