Good evening! I have the sounds of the Super Bowl in the background mixed in with Bean dog's paws tapping on the wood floor. She's wanting some attention so she keeps walking back and forth in here. Erk is at a buddy's house watching the game and the kids are all tucked in bed. The kids and I headed to Andy and Kristen's to watch the game tonight, seems to be what we do every year. We had a nice time, but it's always hard for Molly to nap places other than home. She did pretty good though, was cute as ever - and eventually gave in and slept in the pac-n-play for a few minutes before we headed for home.
As is typical these days, Jack threw a fit when I told him it was time to head for home, despite the 10 and 6 minute warnings I gave the boys which were longer than 10 and 6 minutes... There's gotta be a way to snuff that fire out before it gets to where it does. I'm sure it's an age thing but YIKES. Irritates me every time! I had to pull him out of the room (while he is trying to monkey his way outta my grip) and swat his butt and tell him to listen to me. He clams right up and says "I'm not going home and I'm not helping clean up!" Calgon, get me the beak out :) But once we were in the truck, Jack had changed his tude and Mikie decided to cry, then sob, the entire way home cause he couldn't get his glove on his left hand. What the heck? So I broke into song, as I find I usually do when I'm about ready to blow a gasket. Calms me down and actually makes me turn my angst into laughter within. Funny... whatever works, right!? So we made it home in one piece and Mikie was still sniffling and and taking short breaths when we headed up to bed. Of course as we were putting jammies on Mikie says "I don't WANNA go to bed!" Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. And you're not tired at all, are ya buddy??
So I fed Mol her last bottle of the day and here I sit. I hope all is well with you and sleep well!
