Carrot Dangling

Good morning friends! That's what our pastor says every Sunday and the boys like to say it :) I'm freakin tired this morning. Woke up to pee and check the kids around 4:40am and didn't fall back asleep until 2 hours later. I was wide awake and couldn't find a comfy spot on my pillow. Don't ya hate that? So I finally conk and Mikie whispers on the side of my bed, "Mom, I can't find my B," so up I go and get him his B and back to bed. Then I hear Erk up and getting dressed and I lay there thinking when he comes to say goodbye I'll get up. Reluctantly I pulled myself outta bed, turned the fan off and headed to the shower. I know it's wise to hop in BEFORE Mol is up (otherwise it won't be til she is down for a nap, IF she takes one) but it's hard to peel myself up! I've been charting my PMS too and it's funny, I know every month is the same, but it'll be fun to look back next month and see, "oh yeah, on day 3 I did feel really fat and ugly and was exhausted!" Amazing what the ol' hormones can do to a woman!

We have some friends coming over today to play so that'll be fun. It's been a pretty busy week, so just hanging around and playin' here will be just the thing. I went to a party thing last night for a friend at church. Didn't buy anything and actually snuck out early, but Mol was with me and I can't just sit and listen to presentations anymore with her there! She is into everything and all over the place. She was up the steps, up the steps (can't come down yet on her own). So there I chased her thru out the house, all while feeling the PMS issues of wanting to be home in my jammies :) But we made it and it was nice Laura invited us. Her kids were home too (she has 4) so she didn't mind Mol being there at all...

As I say that, every night this week has been filled with one thing or another. We actually had someone call on our house after we had pulled the sign! Crazy, he found it on Craig's List. I forgot to take it off there when we pulled the sign. Nice dude, is relocating here from across the country. Wednesday was spent cleaning the house like a mad woman (I have never cleaned this house like I did that day) and after the showing I felt it was worth it! He loved the house (actually said those words) and said he'd have to fly his wife out here to show her. He has 2 kids, probably mid-thirties who was not too long ago, "semi-retired." He owned his own business where he comes from and sold it. Soon thereafter, bought a 1950's old school trailer and took 2 months to tour the US with his wife and kids. Then was offered a job here in a similar company run by some friends and since they are originally from here and have family here, they are coming back. His wife and kids are staying back home to get things in order. Funny thing is, he wants a farmhouse in the country. He said they have looked at a "1950's ranch house" that they liked but it was in the country. He said if they go "ranch" - it has to be in the city, but if they go country, it has to be a farmhouse. He also likes a farmhouse around the corner from us (with 11 acres!) but said in order to buy that one, they have to sell their exhisting home first. With ours, they wouldn't have to (since ours is that much less). SO... we will see. Haven't heard back from him yet, you know how it goes! We hope to and hope all that we talked about was true and that he wasn't just blowing smoke up our rear ends. But if we do stay, we are settled with that decision. It's all good either way! Kinda like the website though, we seem SO close - that carrot has been dangling out there for so long, I just wanna grab it!

That's about all that's swirling thru my mind. Perhaps that didn't help me last night when I couldn't sleep! I hope you have a nice Friday!
