Right before heading out for our busy day, I got a call from Shawna with the good news, our website is finally up and running, it’s “live!” I could hardly believe hearing those words this morning, but soon after that we had to take off, so I had on and off today to really let it sink in...
We went this morning and met Mikie’s preschool teacher and saw his classroom. To stand there and watch my little dude be all shy, watch him respond to her and see what he said and did. It was like I was totally on the outside looking in a window (even though I was standing right there making sure Molly didn’t climb up the toy kitchen). Mikie… he’s gonna be in preschool? He’s so cute…
From there we headed to Molly’s one year well child check. She was all smiles with the doc and at times you could almost hear her brain ticking as she was taking it all in. She’s sucha little peanut, average height but in the 25% for her weight. I said “she’s still skinny, eh?” and the doc said “nahh, she’s just not as heavy as she is tall.” Her head is big though, as all our kids have had :) Right before leaving there she got the infamous shots in her chubby little legs, poor baby…
From there we stopped for a quick bite thru the drivethru at Taco Bell. No drinks cause I figured we’d go home and eat it. Well, with some freaking construction we hit on the way, I opted to swing thru McD’s for some drinks and there we sat in the parking lot eating and drinking from 2 different places. Mikie says to me, “you know, these chili cheese burritos are really great Mom.” Jack immediately follows up, “I think you are really great Mom.” Awww… corny? Not from that kid, he only tells ya things when he means to or wants to, that really meant a lot to me.
We then meandered down a different way home (to avoid the massive traffic backup) and got home just in time for Mol to take a nap. She was pretty pooped out after her shots. The boys played outside for a bit while I caught up online and made some calls, then in they came for quiet time.
