I didn’t think it would happen this quickly or quietly. But so far all I hear is the washing machine churning, and nothing from upstairs.
Been a bit of an on again off again war of my “tude” these past few days. But I know I’m not alone in lacking patience, especially when your kids do things like drop their chocolate milk right when you hand it to them and then don’t care as you wipe it up, but wanna tell you a story.
Or when Jack yells to me yesterday at nap time that he “kinda needs some help” in the bathroom. Umm, he peed all over the floor cause “he had to go so bad and couldn’t get it in the toilet.” Then he wouldn’t take a nap like I told him he needed to.
Or when Molly wouldn’t nap yesterday so I let her fuss it out for 45 minutes cause I didn’t want to deal with it (and KNEW she needed sleep). Granted, me slamming the toilet seat down hard cause I had piss to clean up didn’t help her fall asleep.
Or when Jack hit Bean in the head with a metal baseball bat yesterday cause he wasn’t paying attention.
Or when we head to get the boys some school shoes and Molly takes a dump right before we head into the store without me knowing. We get inside and it’s awful smelling – mix in that she will NOT let me hold her anymore ANYWHERE but has to be let down. I try so hard to hold on, but when I’m showing butt crack with my pants in the back cause I’m trying to juggle a moving baby along with trying shoes on the boys… it’s tough. So then Mol is emptying all the boxes of shoes on the bottom row and trying to eat the ballet slippers and tap shoes. Then they don’t have the shoes I like for Jack (he liked them too) so we go to another Payless to get them. But before leaving the parking lot, I change Mol’s diaper in my only option for a spot, the drivers seat of the truck, and she is squirming so bad I spanked her to stay still. She then KICKS the poopy diaper all exposed onto the running board and pavement below, which I have to ignore while taking care of the major issue at hand, the POOP that’s about to be all over MY seat. Get her cleaned up, pick up the mess below and head to find a trash can all the way Mikie is trying to tell me how “if… if… if I ate umm, like a tire, I’d probably throw up!”
Ya feeling my impatience? Am I outta control?!?! Whew! We then stopped by to see how Nanny was feeling 2 days out from surgery and the boys were WILD maniacs and Molly was into about every cupboard, climbing on furniture that’s too big for her and Chloe peed just cause. Again I say it… WHEW!
So that’s me right now. So you can see, I will TRULY enjoy some quiet here, I surely hope it continues (for like 3 days??) :)
